America’s steel city was left for dead after the industry collapsed in the 1980s. Unemployment soared, the population plummeted and corporations fled. But gradually, Pittsburgh weathered the rocky transition from an economy built on manufacturing to one driven by cutting edge research. This is the story of its rebirth.
Torel DeVon Sims grew up living in poverty amongst crime infested areas of Cincinnati, OH. He overcame rough circumstances with a driving passion he developed for the art of "bboying" or "breakdancing" and now majors in computer engineering on a full ride to Ohio University.
His dream is to one day develop into a world renowned breakdancer, but for now all he can do is practice.
This portrait piece of Torel shows the inner-peace and joy that any dancer finds when they express themselves through practicing carefully choreographed and thought-out moves.
Philip Bloom's "Portrait of a Boxer" was a huge inspiration for this piece both visually and audibly.
It was shot on the Sony FS700 and 2.5k BMCC.
To everyone that helped me bring this piece to life -- thank you so much.

Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team (PAART) rescues at-risk animals and brings them from danger to safety. With a fleet of small airplanes and mobile rescue van, or Landplane as we call it, we are the last line of defense in helping at-risk animals. Since 2012 we have rescued thousands of animals all over the East Coast. Co-founded by Jonathan Plesset of Shadyside Inn All Suites Hotel and Brad Childs of Eyetique, PAART's 50 volunteers are on constant standby, ready at a moments notice to get the call to help animals.

A short introduction to an upcoming documentary about the American Prairie Reserve and the Landmark project, a multi-year collaboration with Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation to collect key wildlife data, build a global constituency for this special ecosystem, and record the human experience of living on the prairie"
In 2001, The American Prairie Reserve (APR) was formed to help restore the Northern American Great Plains. Their task, in this incredibly ambitious project, is to provide a natural habitat to house a large variety of species and offer viewers a glimpse of what Lewis and Clark witnessed over 200 years ago. When complete, APR will span over three million acres of private and public space.

Found these kids while shooting a gig during golden hour
Made this quick edit as a result
Caught these two rehearsing while shooting an event.
The rehearsal was so short that I could only get a few shots.
I used "Moonlight" as a creative test to see what I could do with a limited shot variety.
Addendum:
Contrary to popular belief, moonlight is not flicker-free
